Apparently, he may have torn ligaments in between his big toe and whatever the toe next to it is called.

The Index Toe?
Wang sprains his toes by running bases? Image That's total crap.

The New York Times says that the Yankees are now going to go all out for Sabathia.

What do you guys think a potential trade would be?

All I've heard is that the initial assessment of the injury says it's a high ankle sprain that would cause him to miss a couple weeks. Hopefully the MRI shows it's nothing more serious than that.

And honestly, I don't want Sabathia.

I've heard the opposite, actually.

Despite his struggles this year, scouts still love the guy.

Not worth it, IMO.

Eh its debatable. I dont think Jackson or Tabata are anything special, and Cox is a risk as this point, as he had arm surgery and missed all of last year. The only thing of real value the Yankees would give up is Hughes. I dont think Kennedy gets a deal done at all.

Yeah, but then they'd end up locking themselves into a contract with Sabathia, which I don't particularly care for.

Overweight guys make me nervous. As they get older they develop back problems and I'm not convinced Sabathia's going to maintain his level of play in the long run.

I think it'd be pissing money away on a contract they'll dread in a few years.

I don't recall specifically, but I've read some columns online, heard writers talk about him on the radio, etc.

It doesn't seem like anybody's really down on him but the fans.

If it were up to me, though, I'd definitely be willing to part with him. There's just something about him that I don't like, personality-wise.

Heavy rumors today about C.C. being on the market. There have been alot of scouts at Tribe games lately. So it's not just the Yanks.

If Shapiro is smart, he doesn't give him away cheap. And at this point, what teams will give good prospects for a three month rental?

But I dont think anyone was crazy about him to begin with. At best, his upside is a #3, but more than likely #4 starter. Not exactly worth getting excited over if I'm the Indians. Remember, if Sabathia leaves, they get 2 #1 picks from it. So any trade would have to at least equal that.

I'm with you on Sabathia Melon. I don't trust the fatties either.

That's why we should have traded for Santana!

If the Tribe wants their AAA club to win, then they'll have to make the trade for Ian Kennedy.

I wasn't really saying that Kennedy will get a Sabathia trade done.

I'm just saying that scouts still see value in the guy.

I don't think anybody ever saw him as being more than a #3 at best.

Meh. I don't like long-term contracts for pitchers, personally. Especially these days when everybody's so fragile.

I'd avoid it whenever possible.
