Do people still read Ex Machina?

I just picked up vol. 8: Dirty Tricks at the LCS today.. I'm almost positive the last trade came out well over a year ago.

WTF?

I have ZERO clue what's going on in the book.. I'm gonna have to re-read the entire series before I even touch the book.

I remember this book getting so much praise when it started out, and it just seems like the delays killed all the momentum it had completely.

This is why I hate when guys like Vaughan move on to Hollywood and stuff.. the comics work takes a back seat. :(

#47 this week fucked up my world, that shit was insane. The bimonthly move after the plague of delays definitely did not help the momentum of the book though. That being said #47 was a mind fuck.

I stopped picking it up a couple of years ago, after the pot storyline. It was well done, but it just never really clicked with me. That said, I do feel like rereading it.
The witness said Mr Brown then called out to Ms Hay's adult daughter: "Look at this, I'm tittie-f***ing your mother!".

I stopped when they started doing one-shots or specials in-between the main run. I lost track of what had come out and what hadn't and never bothered catching up.

Once it ends, I'll buy the Omnibus or trades.

As someone who reads this book in trade, the delays are fucking killing me.

I'm generally good with remembering what happened in the book when a new volume comes out.. I'm drawing a complete blank on vol. 7..

Now, what.. we're on #47? Vol. 8 covers up to #39.. so there should be another trade early next year, shouldn't there? Or is the current arc long?

should be, 47 was not what you would call directly related to 40-45, I don't know where the arc break is, but yeah and the final trade by the end of next year, I would think as the series is only 50 issues long.

I still read it monthly. It's Vaughn's best series. I tend to able to follow it, even with the delays. Haven't received the latest ish yet.

That's what I thought, which is why I thought it was odd that it took so long for the trade to come out..

I read it and like it. I'm interested in seeing how he ends in in #50.

also, seeing the cover to volume eight, there weren't really many threads that were carried over in that arc, that was almost a stand alone story the way it worked with the REpublican convention and the flash backs. Too be honest, it only gets crazier but I haven't had a problem following it.

it moved to bimonthly and the big delay was right at the end of the volume 7 storyline. seems to me that Dirty tricks was pretty much on time. When the trades are five ish issues long and the book comes out bi monthly that means a year between trades.

yeah, I remember thinking there was no way he could wrap up Y either, even after seeing that sixty was double sized and with this one, especially after the revelations of 47.
