Reading it in trades. Not really concerned about the delays. After the last volume comes out, I'll probably re-read the entire series at that time.

Yeah, i'm getting it in trades.

Haven't found it that hard to keep up and i always enjoy re-reading it so it's not a problem.

Didn't know book 8 was out, i'll be picking it up next week.

I have the first two trades. I like it, but I have to say that the third volume has never really made a run at the top of my "Trades to buy" list. Maybe I should swap those two...

thefourthman wrote:#47 this week fucked up my world, that shit was insane. The bimonthly move after the plague of delays definitely did not help the momentum of the book though. That being said #47 was a mind fuck.

When I got to the page involving kremlin and mitchells mom my reaction was:

I really have no idea how this shit is gonna end anymore!

Ex Machina and Identity Crisis are the two books that got me back into comics. I started visiting the original Ultimate Comics because my brother was working there. I bought random Star Wars things when I was there. One night after work a buddy and I started talking comics and he told me about these two books, I think Id. Crisis was on issue three and Ex Machina was very early on. I bought the first issue of each, the next day I caught up, the day after that my brother recommended Planetary to me, it was on issue 22, I bought all the back issues they had the next afternoon and then my pull list exploded.

I've read through the Pope arc.

Not going to buy anymore until it's over.

We are very similar sir. Though for me I can remember always reading marvel since I was a little kid. I remember begging my day to buy me the issue of Mutant X that heralded the "Return of Charles Xavier"

But it wasn't until Green lantern Rebirth and the middle of Identity Crisis (mostly the JSA stuff) that pulled me back into DC.

Though for Marvel it was New Avengers, Cable/Deadpool and I can't remember what else.

I stopped reading comics altogether after reading SPawn #9. I read the occasional Batman & The Grendel, picked up Trencher and The Maxx, but other then that, I was done with comics in the early nineties. Before that I read Tec, Peter Parker Spec Spidey, my brother's uncanny on a monthly basis. The Shadow, Savage Dragon, Shadowhawk, Doc Savage, The Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, Killing Joke, Elementals, Willingham's Fathom, and Wasteland rounded out the rest of my comic reading pre-stoppage.

Sadly due to economic reasons (unemployment sucks) I stopped reading it at about the 4rth or 5th story arc.And I don't expect to be able to pick it up again for the foreseeable future. Why I had to stop collecting my beloved Fables. :(
