I've only needed one.
English.
I took 4 yrs of Spanish in high school and two semesters in college but it didn't stick.
I took one day of French in college and felt like a jackass trying to make those sounds and went back to spanish

My buddy in college took 3 semesters of German. I picked up a few words here and there from him as a result. I met a group of Germans earlier this year, and they seemed pretty impressed/amused.

It really helps with infants/toddlers, so they can communicate when they're hungry or thirsty. Of course, they quickly pick up on "more" & "cookie".

I speak English fluently when I'm sober
I can get by with french and spanish when I have to. I understand colonial Tamil (that's Tamil mixed with English and it's hilarious) but I don't speak it because like so many children of immigrants, I just don't want to.

Only English. I can understand a bit of Spanish if it's spoken slowly.

English, a light smattering of German, a less-light but still not much smattering of Spanish (I can order lunch at the Puerto Rican restaurant in my work plaza, now, mainly cause the cute waitress there teases me and forces me to order in Spanish.

)
And I plan to learn Hebrew.
