Is BKV done with comics?

Once Ex Machina ends in a few issues, I mean..

Is there something new on the horizon, in terms of a regular series, that I might've missed the news about?

Nothing announced, no specifics, but he's mentioned some projects, I think one is an OGN and the other might be a series.

Yeah, I could see an OGN or a mini or something.. but I want another long epic like Y or Ex Machina. :(

But ever since he moved out to Hollywood and started the TV writing stuff his output hasn't been as much..

He left LOST didn't he?

Now either that's to write more comics, or to write movies.

I dunno.. with only one season left of LOST, I don't think it would've mattered comics-wise. It's probably for other hollywood projects.

I think he's writing the screenplays to all his comic movies.

I met BKV at S.D.C.C. before he really blew up! He was standing by himself in a corner, just people watching. I recognized him and started talking to him about the craft, particularly writing. I wanted to write for comics at the time, so since I enjoyed reading what little of his I read at the time, I asked him about it all.

Man. The guy was pure cool and approachable. He really is a nice guy. I wish nothing but the best for him.

I meat him, also.. around.. 2003, I think?

He's from Cleveland (went to high school just down the street from me).. anyway, he spent an entire day at my LCS, signing, and just partaking in this party/event thing. It was fun.

And yeah, he's a really cool guy.

I would say that the time he was going to take off from comics has already happened. He probably finished EX Machina a long time ago and really it's Harris' schedule thats slowed it. He has talked about a OGN and Vertigo series happening.

And I thought the opposite...that Harris was waiting on scripts because Brian's comic book work was less important than his Hollywood work (meaning that Hollywood money > than comic book money).

Not me. The man has written two of the best series' of the past twenty years in Y: The Last Man and Ex Machina. And one of the best OGN's in Pride of Baghdad, as well.

I think that series has seen its time, and now it's time for it to die...forever.
