1. I like Bendis - he writes two of my top fifty books ever - Powers and Alias.
2. I like Crossovers, they sell books that don't normally sell. I just don't think they should be over used. If this is Marvel's last company wide for a while, I will be super impressed.
3. I like Stumptown a lot. Seige is a better pick for the group.

I'm also considering Nation X: X-Factor, but if I don't like #200 I won't pick that.

It'll probably Siege, start the year with a bang.

I hate the mutants so if you want to pick something to fuck with me, that would be THE book to pick to fuck with me.

A lot of people who hate Mutant books normally love X-Factor.

I would love X-Factor if it didn't have Mutants in it. Instead it is the only readable x-book.

It's always slow for the two weeks around the winter solstice/new years. :(

Weathermaggeddon 2009 has slowed my copy of this down, hopefully it will be here when I get home and I can review it tonight.

You have a lot of feelings. We got that from your romantic comedy thread. That doesn't mean we have to validate them.

Hellboy: Bride of Hell

I thought this was a great hook for new readers, a solid, lengthy occult-themed parable that didn't rely on back-story new readers might not be privy to or leave them with any questions beyond asking themselves why they haven't been reading more of Mignola's stuff lately.

I'm a big fan of Richard Corben, but I know he's an acquired taste especially for folks who didn't grow up on the kind of classic EC horror comics this one-shot has a lot in common with. I love his work, it's great there's a lot of it popping up in books at Dark Horse or Marvel lately, with Starr the Slayer or HP Lovecraft's Haunt of Horror mini. I think he does a great job here as well, although it may not be the best showcase for his strengths as an illustrator.
