What? Most comics are pretty good, so they all get a pretty good grade.

Next time I see a preview for a Johns book I will do. Some of your critiques are rediculous. Volstagg always gets fat jokes. A comic book changing scenery isn't bad at all either.

You don't have to wait for someone to pick a Geoff Johns comic in order to review it in my style. Just grab one an do it. Don't be afraid.

In addition, why don't you take this week's comic and do a page by page counter critique of my review? You might learn something in doing so.

Volstagg, and any fat character for that matter, deserves any fat joke directed at them

I always think it's funny how seriously people take reviews. There are some people that are gonna hate and there are others that are gonna love depending on what comics and characters we're dealing with. We've all got our biases.

Mine usually involve the Punisher and Garth Ennis.

Blondes, and any blonde character for that matter, deserve any blonde jokes directed at them.

Jews, and any Jewish character for that matter, deserve any Jew jokes directed at them.

Blacks, and any black character for that matter, deserve any black joke directed at them.

How far do you want to take this?

We can't make fat or blonde jokes anymore? This world is getting lamer.

Can we at least still make jokes about old people?

I hope so.

Old is something that happens to all people, barring catastrophic illness or accident.

Not to Pippi Longstocking or Peter Pan. They mock us without fear.

Which is why we should also be making fun of young people. And Nazis. And people that give their babies firearms.

And that kid that had a lightsaber battle with himself that got posted on YouTube. And people that bring 20 items into the 10 items or less line. And fat people.

And blondes.

I agree and some of the worst offenders are people who are intelligent and able to figure out other's bullshit.

Regarding Bendis, it's hard for me to take criticism of him serious due to how he became famous and successful. He started off doing crime stories and then became the writer of Daredevil. After that, Avengers: Disassembled where he killed off three promenient Avengers with the culprit being another. Then, the killer became more powerful and went crazy which lead into the next major event that Bendis wrote himself. I'm not saying he's a great writer who should never be criticized but what I am saying is that there will always be people who will hate him for stuff he did in comics and it will have nothing to do with the quality of his work.
