Well we had the "Why I Don't Like Power Rangers" thread at the 'rama so I am hoping some folks would be interested in a similar thread here. This thread is basically for discussing tokusatsu (eg. henshin heroes, kaiju, sentai, etc). So welcome any fans.

I asked my friend in Japan to pick up a few issues of the Kamen Rider Official Data File (http://www.de-club.net/kmr/) for me. I just got the first two and they are pretty cool. Here are some sample pages:

So, pretty dang cool overall. Only problem? Over 100 issues and it comes out weekly. Dunno if I can afford or store all of it...

Hmn not sure why it takes so long for you to get to stuff at 'rama. I don't like the interface much, but it doesn't take me that long. Must be something Canadian.

Godzilla/Gojira rules. Xavier was asking about it last night. I might even see if he wants to watch one soon. He likes the Iron Giant a lot...not sure how he'd take the SFX of a kaiju film, though.

Maybe it still exists, but I'm not sure, back around the year 2000 my friend had some tapes from a wrestling league where people dressed up in rubber monster costumes and did ECW-style hardcore wrestling matches in a ring set up to look like a miniature version of New York.

Does anyone have any clue what I'm talking about? If so do you have any clue what it's called? I've been trying to figure this out for years because it was fucking awesome.
