I believe the new doomy taunt is something to do with New Comic Day and Family Circus which doesn't really work for me as I like Family Circus but whatevs.

I think he probably would have picked Joe had he been here. Between the price and the lack of non-mainstream selections there weren't a lot of other options.

I'm disappointed there is no mention of our missing comrade in the article. :(

I was afraid to incur any further wrath from Gail Simone's angry mob of fans.

And that's a good thing! I don't want to resemble Joey Merrick.

That gives Amazing Spider-Man #617 a group score of 8.49. For a mainstream super-hero book, that there is a pretty damn good score.

That might be the most pretentious thing I've read on this site ...

I didn't say the comic wasn't good, I was just pointing out that your score claims this is one of the best comic books ever, which is pretty damn crazy when you think about it.

and lots of other people agreed with me. which is pretty crazy when you think about it.

really, it doesn't - it means it is almost as good as a comic can be, I didn't give it a ten after all. There is a difference between an expertly executed comic (which would be a ten) and the greatest comic book ever....
