Yeah, it's pretty nice. Seriously, you can't walk two feet without bumping into someone cool. I was at the bar last year watching Joe Q check out my friend Audie's tattoo's when she wasn't looking. Hilarious.

This is the only pic I have. Pretty crappy, I know. You can see how packed it is though. Those are my friends in the middle. The tall one looking over is Jason from Alter Ego Comics. Vaneta wrote a number of retailer articles about his store over at Rama. The bald guy on the left with his back turned is Erik Larsen.

I work about a mile from the center it's at. Our office holds our annual convention there, too. It's a nice enough venue, but there's a brand new center down the highway across from the big mall in the area that's nicer and actually closer to our home.
I'm really bummed about not going. Maybe I'll see how Vicki feels next week. It's only $50 for us to get in, and if we agree not to buy anything, it won't be all that expensive.

If you want to get together outside of the convention, starlord, that'd be cool. Or, if Bobb talks me into going maybe we can meet up somewhere...we'll have the kids so the bar probably isn't the best place. lol. PM me your cell if you'd like to get together or something...

Well making it a week before Gencon isn't the "smartest" of ideas Wizardworld had. Probably the reason for the move.

It's a gigantic gaming convention they have here in Indianapolis. The streets are packed with nerds for miles around.

okay, you know what, I think I went to one of those in Milwaukee many, many years ago. My friends were into gaming more than I was, but I tagged along.

Exactly.. why some of my friends stayed off going to WWC because they where saving up for pulling all nighters at GenCon.
This year I get two maybe more trying to get more to come this year.
In either case.. you want to find me? I'll probably be A.) Near the DC Booth gawking at the Cyborg Superman Sinestro Corps figure. B.) Stalking Sean McKeever if he kicks M'ggan out of the Teen Titans next issue. C.) Somehow ending up at Ethan Van Sciver's table. D.) In line trying to get Warren Ellis to sign the issues of his Doom 2099 run.
But honestly if you see a man with a Sinestro Corps Cyborg Superman symbol walking around. It's probably me.

Okay, since some of you have been there before. What happens on Thrusday's between 4 and 7 pm? I bought the extra ticket, but not sure what to expect.

I went to the last Gen Con they held in Milwaukee. I wish it was still there, as Milwaukee's just over an hour away. Indy's several hours....and it's a lot more expensive just to get in there.

McKeever, huh?...
That's me next to him in the blue shirt. So if you see my ugly mug walking around the Con come up and say hey.

It's what they call the Preview Night. It's more or less like the rest of the Con except there's only like half as many people there. About as quiet as it gets on the Con floor. A lot of artists and whatnot are getting set-up so it's a good time to talk to people without having to wait in crazy long lines.
