It really isn't always that easy. Plus, you have no idea how stressful it is when it's your kid doing the crying - and when you get stressed it's even harder to make the kid relax!

yeah, I can understand being frustrated. Even having four of my own, I think it's human nature to feel that way. But Houman is right, it's just as frustrating for the parent. Especially when you know everyone is looking at you to stop the noise, and no matter how you choose to do it, they're going to judge you.

public transport and stores and resteraunts are all really bad, because you have to use them (well, maybe not resteraunts).

What really annoys me are the parents who bring in babies to the movie theaters and they cry threw the movie. And the parents refuse to leave. I've seen that happen and I find that to be rude.

I saw a mother leave her kid on the stairs and she just went down the steps waiting for him to stop crying and walk down to her. These to guys were scolding the mother saying "take care of your child" but it looked to me she was. The kid shut up, walked down the steps to his mother, and stopped being a pain in her ass.

That's insane!

Here in Sweden they have specific mother-and-baby showings of films, which I reckon is a really good idea.

She was doing the right thing, actually. Those guys needed to mind their own business.

They should make some kind of knock-out spray for non-parents, so we could hush the child without the parent feeling guilty.

Or perhaps a knock-out spray specifically for use on non-parents.

Parenting is tough, it's not an exact art. However, one of teh joys of being childless is the ability to be annoyed by children.

I was a quiet baby.

And I'll teach my children tough love.
