Eagleham's charm is starting to work on me. Still don't feel he quite fits on the title, but somehow he gives the book a very inspirational atmosphere.

When Sue said "we're going on a mission to Antarctica" apparently Johnny heard "we're going to a gay Circuit Party" :-D

A good portion of this issue is wordless as they are under-water. Nice touch, btw. The last few pages have some pretty cool dialogue, though !

Is it me, or does Sue look really broad shouldered in this preview?

This issue was awesome until the very last page. WTF, Hickman is taking lessons from Crichton's corpse?

She looks like she's had a double masectomy and is wearing prosthetic books.

EDIT: I don't mean that as snarky, I mean I have a friend who has and it looks the same to me.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand dropped.

If this story arc shapes up I'll snag the trade, but I'm so very disappointed in Hickman's FF. Bryned this issue, and although Eaglesham's underwater scenes would make some kick-ass '70s Yes album cover art, I still was underwhelmed by the narrative. It's shaping up to be a rip-off of the scene in The Hobbit where the four cities meet on the battlefield. Only question is who will be Smaug?

I think that's my favorite of the Deadpool variants.

Hilarious!

Fun issue, Johnny is hilarious.

I'm not sure I like the last page recaps or whatever, but I do like how this arc is showing the FF exploring all aspects of the MU and discovering new things. Imaginauts indeed.

And Eaglesham is just amazing.

The art is just gorgeous, but from what I just read of the preview Johnny and Ben are being written as childish idiots. I'd expect that the characters deserve better than that by now.

Then he has regressed, which is a shame. I think I like John Byrne's work on the character best...

Meh, he's always been childish, that's the appeal, if he were to mature, it would upset the balance of the team.

Have you read Byrne's FF run? If not, you should.

And I'd argue that Johnny is a hothead as opposed to an idiot, or even childish. That's very different.
