We can't win here.

I assume that he wasn't being serious.

It's simple, it isn't the mess that was the Gates story I just read. you aren't gonna see a whole lot of reason (and it goes live sometime tomorrow), I really don't talk about it.

The Gates story was good! The Slater back-up was pretty, but empty (like Supergirl!)

Oh, boy, I can't wait for my review to go live... Supergirl 50 was EVERYTHING that is wrong at DC. It was almost brilliant in a meta way.

But... I liked it... I thought I was supposed to be a DC hater? I'm confused!

If it's anything like your XMF review, I very much doubt that.

I agree with the back up being pretty but the Gates story was not good if you were a new reader.

I thought Supergirl was typical of a DC book. A stupid bad guy, boring talking, average dialogue. You sort of enjoy it but forget what happens 5 minutes later. Fluff.

No, it is not trying to be clever, it is this is what is wrong with this book and I wish they would figure out how to fix it

I agree with everything you said except the enjoying it part.
