They advise heading for higher ground (even for the hotels along waikiki beach, they say go to higher floors). Here's a map of O'ahu (where I am) and the expected areas of where the tsunami might go:

We are supposed to have 7 days of life with us.
The bummer part is that the north part of our island is pretty damn flat and very country (one road in and out) so they gotta get out of there and head toward town I think.
It will hit the big island (confusingly called Hawaii) first...
