I think Bendis is ok, but all this just reminds me of why I dropped Avengers after Secret Invasion.

I was thinking of getting back into the Avengers stuff with this relaunch, but now I'm leaning towards just saving my money instead.

I haven't enjoyed Bendis on anything since Daredevil. I was intrigued by his Avengers until I heard there would be seven thousand Avengers books on the shelves. Nope. Bendis is dead to me.

I haven't enjoyed Bendis on anything since Daredevil. I was intrigued by his Avengers until I heard there would be seven thousand Avengers books on the shelves. Nope. Bendis is dead to me.

Dark Avengers - Ends, Bendis is going to be writing Avengers.
Avengers: The Initiative - Ends, going to be restarted as Avengers: Academy (or whatever the title is going to be)
Thunderbolts - Continues.
Mighty Avengers - Ends
Secret Avengers - Only new book.
Avengers "Trinity" - Mini-series.

So we have the same exact amount.

I really hate the way the man writes dialogue. Between that, the pacing of his stories (he has whole issues where NOTHING happens) and the fact that he re-uses panels A LOT, I'm surprised people still like him. I think he'd make a great plotter/creative consultant but I think he's a bad writer. He does get some really good artists who manage to make him look good (Alex Maleev).
