I have read enough of their work to know that they tend to just go (eventually nowhere) and this book has all the tell tale signs of that . I like it, a lot and if this were issue one or two, yeah I would be with you it will get high scores, but solid character work and pretty art isn't going to get it a pass forever, something needs to progress in this issue to make me care going forward. The funny thing is all the trade waiters on it are going to be super annoyed because the conceit will be way more obnoxious in a single sitting read.

I think you're too jaded, when good art, great character work and the fact that you liked #1 and #2 aren't enough, you need to take a step back and ask what you're looking for in your comics.

This isn't jaded. I love the hell out of comics. If I were jaded I wouldn't have read The Twelve Spearhead, which so far this week is far and away the best thing I have read.
It's not jaded to use the experience I have had with the creator's work and the experience I have had with the book so far to form an opinion about the current issue. It is what we all do. It is what makes us drop books or keep them or add them to our pull list.
This book has everything, but a story, and a story is the primary thing I look for in a comic book.
Just because I don't fall over myself in love with something you do doesn't mean I am jaded, it means I have a different opinion than you and obviously, different expectations.
