I lost a customer who had become a really good friend about this time last year and it hit really hard and was just as big a shock, so I know what you and your shop's group is going through.

Just remember him fondly. He was a real character with a true heart of gold. Oh, and always remember that Blackest Night was much better than The Watchman. :-)

Is there a reason the sticky is only on the newsstand?

Starlord felt it was better there, since Old Man preferred the comics discussion side of The Outhouse and mainly posted here.

Okay cool. I just happened to be in the News Stand area and noticed. Thought maybe he deserved more recognition, but starlord knows best.

I went back and forth about it but I remember him telling me once that he usually avoided the other side since he mostly enjoyed talking comics and picking on Punchy. So I figured this was the best place for it.

I crossed culture swords with him a few times in political threads, so he did pop in sometimes. :-D

I thought Old Man would get a chuckle knowing we dedicated a Zombie book to him, wherever he is.

I'm pretty sure he'll be up there chuckling when we do it. :-)

That was exactly his kind of humor. He'd love it. ;-)

SIEGE: SECRET WARRIORS #1
I have enjoyed most of the Siege One-Shots, They are not really necessary but they are still fun. This issue is pretty much on par with the other One-Shots. It wasn't great but there were some fun panels, like Cap and Fury but Phobos is the focus here and Hickman really pushes the characters bad ass-ness on the reader and I felt it was a little forced and I am not even sure why he went after the President. The last page of him in the Oval Office was cool and the line 'Surely, fortune favors you and the men I spared. Enjoy it.' from his letter was great. I was not a big fan of Alessandro Vitti's art when he filled in for Caselli and he did not impress here either, he is not bad by any means but my eyes only want to see Caselli doing the art on this.

STORY - 7

ART - 6

OVERALL - 6.9

This felt like a Secret Warriors B-side. Not as mind blowing as this week's Secret Warriors, but it's an entertaining read.
