Shady's 70's "swimsuit" was awesome and elegant. Perfect for her character. This bikini Gary Frank came up with is a few notches below that on the class level. Way too trashy.

Oh yes, alien planetary heroes from 1000 years in the future should worry about the class level of thier clothes.

I've got a huge stack of Legion comics to read if I can ever find a few issues.

I've got Abnett & Lannings ending run of both Legion of Super-Heroes & Legionnaires that leads into Legion Lost & Legion Worlds(missing #123 of the LoSH & #2 of Lost & #1,2 of Worlds). Then the Legion series that they did w/ Copiel. I"ve got Waid & Kitson's LoSH series up to the issue before Supregirl shows up & Levitz's run to close out that book.

I'd love to read these but I can't find those issues for prices that I want to pay.

Any recomendations on other LoSH stories?

And her original

The ugliest was also the once worn and then burned from Adventure Comics

This thread seems strange without Greybird.

The DnA stuff was great (but it's a different Legion than the one to be in next months LSH #1)

The Waid stuff was (imo) forgetable (and is even more out of continuity than the DnA stuff).

Are you confusing Levitz with Shooter? Levitz didn't work on the Eat It Granpa Legion.

A square with a ripped up piece of paper in it? Yes. :-D

[EDIT] Nevermind, it showed up.[ ]
[EDIT] Not it's gone again.[EDIT]

Seriously, the 70's one looked pretty sleek for its time. It showed a lot of European influence. Check some of the swimsuits and fashions coming out from there at the time.

I preferred Giffen's original version of the 80's the 80's costume a little more than Lightle's. The shorter hair made her look a little more exotic alien looking. It also seemed a lot more mature, which fit her and Mon-El well. The Lightle uni, not so much.

Never liked the Umbra version. Hated the costume. Hated the name.

The threeboot costume rocked. Fit threeboot Shady's personality as a kick-@$$er barbarian princess hands down.

Ironically, the orange costume seems to be the template the 70's costume was based on. Jeckie's costume was cool, though. Almost wish they had kept it.

You're both very kind. I've lost a great deal of enthusiasm for comics-board posting, or been simply diverted. And apart from having a lot of fun recently over at deviantART, I'm not really sure what's to blame.

Maybe it's just that I'm getting down to reading the current stellar work of Paul Levitz and Cinar and the other artists, with the Legion being in two titles, rather than talking about it.

I haven't contributed to the Newsarama thread about Dawnstar in many weeks, though I meant to note the added backstory for her people and planet in R.E.B.E.L.S., and to post more page-captures from the recent books.

There isn't any Dawnstar thread over here, apparently. With the difference in traffic, I wonder whether I should start one. I'm giving up on going very much to Newsarama any more, especially with how it was recently (temporarily) flagged as a malware-promoting site. They don't care very much about promoting a quality experience.

Until I post (or re-post) more, here's a classy reworking of Dawnstar's look from Grimslade, over at Renderosity. (Right-click and open in a new tab for a 1366 x 768, 394 KB version.)

Haven't read R.E.B.E.L.S (and probably won't). But now Starhaven's not a colony planet populated by people of Native American decent?

F   k, Is this part of Johns retcon making the Legionaires true aliens, as opposed to decedents of human colonists? (As Levitz suggested many of them were?)
