Any responsible parent would look closer. Media companies shouldn't have to adjust for people's stupidity. The label's there, if you don't see it, it's your own fault.
Good points here, Punch.

If labels are made bigger, that may be a method to appease those who raise the issue. A company's way to compensate for the ignorant, perhaps.

Parents who don't look for labels are lazy to a degree. But most who buy comics are old enough to think for themselves. So if you don't look out for labels, does that make you a lazy shopper?

Hmmm.....

I look forward to reading more.
Well, thank you.

I'd be interested in hearing what you disagreed with.

Back when Vertigo was new, I think a lot of new readers had no idea of what those books would contain. It's easier to understand now that Vertigo's been around a while. It just takes new readers a while to catch up to those of us already in the know.

I'd argue that most comics fans are old enough not to get pissed off by some violence. But fanboys always surprise me!

I'd like to think that most readers would have some knowledge about what to expect from a Millar book or an Ennis book.

Would new readers be picking up #5 of a 6 issue mini?

I assume so, unless they're retarded.

This hypothetical new reader is pointless anyway.
