Live-Action Blue Beetle Coming from DC?

ImageGeoff Johns shows off some screen tests for a possible upcoming live action Blue Beetle movie! Pics inside!

In a recent update on the DCU Blog, Geoff Johns spoke about a recent special effects test done for a possible live action Blue Beetle. film. The movie is not confirmed, but is simply in a testing phase. However, Johns has promised to bring the clip to San Diego and other cons to show it off, and we may see the project take off if there is interest. Here's what Johns had to say on the DCU blog:

I feel very fortunate to have been a part of Blue Beetle’s introduction way back in INFINITE CRISIS. I’ve said it before, but thanks to the BLUE BEETLE series launched by Keith Giffen and John Rogers with a great design by Cully Hamner, Jaime Reyes rocks. Great character, great story, great look. He’s already appeared in animation, had action figures and right now he’s on my computer in live-action glory. I have an early special effects test that has been floating around of what his armored scarab-suit could look like. This isn’t final. This isn’t greenlit. It’s only a test that was done. We still have a long way to go to see if we can get this off the ground and a lot of people to jump on board…but check out some stills:

A Blue Beetle movie would be so awesome!

The face makes him look like a bad guy and it doesn't look very good.

The face should look villainous. It fits the history of the Scarab and the Reach.
Something that everyone should know: There is no objective good and very little objective bad in entertainment media. Of the objective bad, much of it is unintentionally hilarious which gives it entertainment value for some people. If you understood this then 99% of your petty arguments would never happen. Learn to realize that you have different tastes then the guy you are arguing with and move on. And before someone calls me a hypocrite, notice that I never go in calling something bad. I always go in to defend something.
