I'd sooner pull a Chris McCandless than be cursed with one of those.

I will wait to look at my invoice and compare to Midtown before I make my decision...
Bullet to the Head #1 is the front runner.
The short list other than that looks like this though:
Green Arrow #1
Justice League The Rise of Arsenol #4

(Tempted, period)
Superman #700
Hulk #23
Tick #4

I admit, this is the one Avengers book I am not that excited for... except for Immonen, that guy is money... I already have the art scored a 10 and I haven't even read this yet.

I'm thinking (if Bullet ships) it should be that with a side of Arsenol for those with crappy shops.

Here's my review and score without reading the book:
New Avengers is a completely unnecessary book. Marvel should make Bendis write more Spider-Woman and kill NA.
The art is gorgeous and maybe justifies the cover price. Immonen can fit 6, 7, sometimes 8 characters into a panel without making his art look cramped or crowded. Pure Awesomeness.
STORY: 5
ART: 9
OVERALL: 7

I can't wait for Bullet. My fear is that it won't ship until the end of the month. I had thought it was slated for the week of June 30th.

I will say that I do not want to take the group back. I left my mark and it made the group what it is. That's good enough for me. Oh and John/amlah/cork sniffer had done an amazing job and the only other person I would except running it is no one.

oh... here's the solicit text for the first issue:
A crime saga in comic book form as the story centers around buddy crooks, buddy cops, femme fatales and one unlikely official in the middle - with a target on his head! Dynamite proudly presents its first-ever crim noir series! Featuring art by Colin Wilson (Ed Brubaker's Point Blank)!
It's written by Matz, the guy who wrote Killer (the best Crime Comic ever written)... it's considered a French Noir Masterpiece (this one)

I never got in to Rage Against the Machine... TOO political for me. I also don't like Zach's voice.
Also they reminded me way too much of:
