What am I, chopped liver?

I'm Jonathan.
I'm a Navy Vet.
I'm a double college graduate (BS in Film Production, MS in Entertainment Business) from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL.
I'm a native South Floridian (Palm Beach County).
I'm 28.
I like the color blue.
I love reading team books (X-Men, Avengers, JLA, etc) but I'm mainly Marvel moreso than DC (although I do like the Green Lantern line).
My first (and only car) is a 2001 Ford Focus hatchback, which I got when I was in the Navy.
I graduated high school back in 2000 and went to my 10 year reunion (one of them) in June.
Currently I'm living back at home because I have no money and no job (stupid economy).
I want to be in the Entertainment Business.
I just went to LA for the first time last month and I love it there. Will move there ASAP.

My name's Niam, and I'm a pretty big deal.

I'm 21 and British, I've finished University but not Graduated yet. Need to get a job after that. I write stuff for the front page. Feel free to not appreciate me for this and only notice it when I make a mistake, and insult me all the time, it's what everyone else does.

My 'claim to fame' likes are Scott Pilgrim and Brian Michael Bendis comics. But I have very wide tastes pretty much.

Did my basic down in Orlando Florida, along with tech school. First went to 32nd Street in San Diego, was stationed of the USS O'Brien Destroyer. WE made trips up and down the west coast, also going as far south as the southern most tip of South America and going as far north as the lower ports of Alaska. Most of the time we were assisting in catches drug runners. After about a year and a half we switched our home port to Yokuska Japan, got to stop over in Hawaii for a couple months on the way their for engine repairs, that was freakin sweet. Seeing Pearl Harbor memorial is something I know I will never forget. Finished out my time there in Japan and then came back to the states.

Lucky SOB. When were you in though? I heard they closed Orlando base in 95/96, several years before I even joined. In fact, when I lived in Winter Park, I would go through what used to be the base several times a week (it's all now housing and parks, mainly).

Did you post at the Rama, your screen name is very familiar?

Any who I am Black Orchid aka Pink Peril, or just Pinky.

I live in Reno, just moved here after a decade in Las Vegas. I'm 29 + 4, been married for 11 years. Hubby was in housing construction, and is also former Navy. USS Independence, VF-154 Black Knights.

Loved superheroes as a kid but didn't start up with comics until just a few years ago.

I am middle of the road when it comes to politics, I believe in gun control but also think it's fine for cops to tazer old ladies if they had it coming to them.

Three cats, one of whom had open heart surgery recently but is doing good. I don't take kindly to stories of animal abuse, even fictional ones. Poor Rage Kitty.

I'm pale as a freckly ghost, brown eyes, dark blonde/light brown hair, 5'8" and after my last bout of depression on the verge of being underweight. But my jeans fit again so there's an upside. :D
