Fun issue. The best part was Matt asking if Luke and Danny wanted to join the Hand and then their response and his response to them.

Also, I'm really really really hoping the master they are talking about is Blackheart, even though I know it won't be.

That never made much sense to me, but then again I always wanted Shredder to have turtle soup so I guess I root for the bad guys a bit too often...

Zechs? Is that you?

They already did that(albeit metaphorically) in OMD.

Picked this up:

Art was not good at all, Billy Tan often gets a lot of flack and I usually do not get it. But this time around I hated it, simply ugly.

The story was ok, but some of the stuff was plain stupid. The way bullseye escaped from the helicoptor was really friggin dumb. Aside from the fact that it is physically impossible for a bullet to ricochet the way it did off a pair of handcuffs, I have to wonder what kind of idiots would let such a violatile homicidal maniac trick them like that.

I've been very wary about this crossover and this first issue is doing nothing to make me feel more confident about buying into it.

The more I think about it, the more I find myself agreeing with IGN review. If they had wanted to go for "shocking", they should have had Daredevil go after Bullseye while he was on the helicopter. That sort of pro-active action, provided it had the same end result, would have been much more shocking, I think.

Then again, and this may put me on the shit-list early into my posting career here, I really kind of want to see Matt become more of a villain. Not a Doctor Doom maliciously cackling sort, mind you, but the fallen hero who cannot be redeemed because he has simply gone too far. Early into Diggle's run, that's precisely what it felt like, too. But after the trip to Japan, it seems all to apparent that they are going to give him a well-placed out and everything will be a-okay when all is said and done because "he was manipulated".

How the fuck would Matt have known such info?

Here's a question: How did the Avengers know the name "Shadowland"? Here's another: How did they suddenly become aware DD's commanding the Hand?

Testy, much?

At any rate, and again this entire discussion is hypothetical to the actual events of the issue so it doesn't matter one way or the other, but I would assume that with an army of ninjas at his disposal, one of his goons could have infiltrated whatever agency is in charge of shipping people to The Raft, found out which helicopter was going to be transporting Bullseye, and then told Matt.

But again, this is all hypothetical.

The ninja's running around Hell's Kitchen would be a hint that something's up.

Also I'm sure they just asked what the name of the giant Japanese building sitting in the middle of New York was called. It's not like it's exactly a secret building...
