It feels a bit corny and melodramatic as a statement but it's not bad writing. :?

it's nonsense, she negated her statement while saying it. It is realistic, but it is bad writing. The fact that more writers don't notice it is why such bad writing is allowed to happen and why such stupid things are said by the general public. As much as I hate Dickens and Austin, at least they said what they meant in a way that conveyed that meaning to anyone who read it.

I guess this line would have made more sense and yet kept the spirit of the sentences in tact:

"We all have choices Foggy. And Matt just threw all of his away."

But if it's realistic, then what's the problem?

I hardly think bad grammar in Daredevil is going to hurt the children.

GORILLA-MAN #1

That was a fun little comic. It was not a masterpiece, but it was not dreck.

After an excuse to show our boy Ken shooting automatic weapons while playing Matt Hoffa off a motorcycle, we get some heavy exposition into a mission in the Congo interspersed with some origin type stuff that is more intriguing than the actual meat of the book.

The art is fun and playful, like the writing, nothing spectacular – either in a good or bad way.

It’s an average book and deserves an average-ish score.

Story 3
Art 3
Overall 6

Oh and Starlord, I can recommend very few books as highly as the first Agents of Atlas mini which is frakking brilliant. 48 is right, Parker has failed to recapture the excitement of that first mini. Probably because the original mini was not concerned with continuity and the two ongoings have tried to make it a continuity book and it is hurt by it.

I went to my LCS today, and read this off the stands.

What a middling average comic. It doesn't try anything. I give this a generous 2. You put it down and can't remember ANYTHING about it.

I guess I'm back in the review group.

I enjoyed the quirkiness of Gorilla Man #1. I kept thinking how Detective Chimp is cooler, tho.

I'm in for the 3-part series, but it better get going.

I like how the article automatically assumes Time Masters will be terrible.

I think some of you guys are much too harsh.
