So, I attended the Mid-Ohio Con Sunday. Not a whole lot going on there. I didn’t meet the soup nazi. He was charging $20 for an autograph and, well, I’m a cheap bastard and that was too much to pay for me. I went to the Marvel panel that was there. Nothing earth shattering was announced.

However, Ron Garney, the current artist on Amazing Spider-Man, did drop one little interesting tid bit. He said he’s working on a cover with Spidey in the back of an ambulance with his head hung low. Not because he’s hurt. But because of who is in the ambulance. My money’s on Mary Jane. I spoke with him at his booth and asked him when this issue was coming out. He said it was the issue after Spidey brings back the black costume. I also asked him how long he’d be on Amazing. He told me at least until JMS’s run was over.

I also talked to Mike Avon Oeming after the panel. He’s a super nice guy. I asked him who was all in Omega Flight. He confirmed that it would be Beta Ray Bill, US Agent, Arachnne and someone in the Guardian suit. Nothing new there but he said the first issue would deal with the classic team.

I then talked to Sean McKeever at his booth. He signed a copy of Mystique for me. I asked what he had on his upcoming schedule. He said he had two top secret projects in the works. One is for Marvel and the other isn’t is all he would say about them. He told me to expect in announcement in February ‘07 for details.

I didn’t get to talk to Angel Medina personally, couldn’t find him, but he was on the panel. He seemed like a really cool guy. He basically said that he’d be on Sensational Spider-Man for the duration of his Marvel exclusive two year contract.

Talk about this here.
