I think he has pretty good ideas and tends to mix fun and campy well with some dark stuff damn well. I haven't read too much of his work, but what I have read I've enjoyed. I've read his XXXombies: Crawl Space, Doctor Voodoo, Punisher/FrankenCastle, Last Days of Crime.

XXXombies and Last Days were both ok-level Remender. If I could rely on him to write like that all the time, his books would still be hit-or-miss with me depending on my interest in the ideas. But once a writer like that starts working for Marvel or DC because the pay is better and begins churning out hack-work like this week's pick where there's no evidence of those good ideas or that humor, I will drop them fast.

As I said, working at Marvel has improved Remender.

What you've done wrong here is that Voodoo was actually a good book and made sense. :?
