Hardin “Jack” Burnley, the first man to draw Superman, Batman, and Robin after their creators, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 95. Burnley, along with Gardner Fox, created Ted Knight a.k.a. Burnley had a somewhat brief comic book career and was also a newspaper illustrator and sports cartoonist. He later worked with the Pittsburgh Sun-Telegraph and San Francisco News up until his retirement.

His style was noted for his muscular characters which has influenced comics.
