O-H..

..I-O!

:D

Carson Palmer, and his fellow fairweather USC trojan fans can suck a fat one..

I'm predicting the Buckeyes win the Rose Bowl this year.

Of course.. if we get a favorable pre-season ranking, and manage to beat USC, the national championship isn't out of the picture.. but I don't think Todd Boeckman will be good enough to get us there this time, especially if he plays like he did toward the end of last year. But we do have Terrell Pryor backing him up.. kid's gonna be amazing.

When all is said and done, the Big Ten should look:

1. OSU
2. Wisconsin
3. Illinois

In all seriousness, though.. the USC game will be very telling.

If we lose, we're clearly just not good enough and all the haters will be right. If we win, we may be good enough, but all the haters will just have some readymade excuse for why USC didn't play well, just like when we beat Texas a few years ago.

OSU will not beat USC.

However the defense will keep the game close and OSU will end up with a really high ranking after beating the rest of the terrible Big 10 and will get a chance to play in a big game where they will get beat by a better team.

I'm not saying one way or other.. I've learned from my mistakes.

But if they do.. will that be enough to get some respect from you fools?

I don't think USC is going to be as good as they have been in the past, but I'd give them a little respect. Unfortunately they still have to play a bowl game they'll get crushed in. :-D

No, because USC isn't an SEC school. 8)

I think the USC vs OSU game is fairly simple to figure out. If Sanchez plays well USC should win running away, if he doesn't it will be a close game and could go either way. I don't see Ohio St. scoring a lot of points either way, although Wells will probably run for 125-150 yards.

As far as UT vs UCLA, there are just way, way, way too many unknown factors for both teams. Both of them are breaking in new offensive systems. Both of them are breaking in new QB's. Both teams should be very strong on the ground, ect, ect. The one spot I can see where one team has a definite advantage over the other is on defense. TN's secondary has the potential to be one of, if not *the*, best in the country. If they can keep the receivers in check long enough for the front seven, many of whom are new, to figure out what they're doing then that's probably going to be the difference.

You do realize only us West Coast people are supposed to use logic like this. Everyone else, like you, is supposed to rant and rave about how the SEC is superior to the Pac-10. :-D

I think that the SEC is the deepest league in the country pretty much every year by a large margin, but I don't think they automatically have the best team every year. They do end up having a champion who has had to endure a brutal schedule and has endured all kind of crap by the time a title game rolls around, and I think that has a lot to do with their success lately.

The Pac 10 is a very good league. Not quite as deep as the SEC, but it has about 3-4 teams that end up being really good every year, *and* I really like that they have a true round robin decide the conference champion every year.

Dude, you and I have some great disagreements, and you know I love you, but I can not wait until UW kicks the shit out of OSU.

Again you use logic and give us a reasonable well thought out response. Your posts should look more like Reek or chap's posts. Silly and incoherent babbling that refuses to use anything resembling logic in any way. Now get to it. :-D

Seriously though that's how I see both leagues most of the time.

Fiiiiiine.

The SEC is the greatest conference in the history of humankind and any argument against it is uninformed and obviously wrong.

Better?
