I thought the first one wasn't hugely funny, aside from the hugely penis.

Although the good reviews mean I am looking forward to a nice Jack the Ripper story. Love that shit.

I knew you were going to say that. No[edited], I posted it though and was glad to see someone read it and responded.

You can't go wrong with anything that's got Eric Powell's name on it. Kyle Hotz, also amazing.

I loved everything about that. I've been wanting to get into Eric Powell's stuff for a while now. I picked up Vol. 0 of The Goon about a month ago and loved every page. If that book was just the scraps, then I can't wait to read the real progress he's made with the series afterward!

But yeah, this type of quirky horror works great for me. Have you ever read Golly? It has a VERY similar atmosphere. I think you'd love it.

Don't buy any more comics until you have read The Goon. Seriously, BLOWS Golly! out of the water (and I think that is a fabulous book). The Goon is a top ten all time title for me. It is AMAZING.

And what you really need to understand about 0 is that it isn't really scraps as much as it is really early work for him. Eventually he decided to create a storyline and his art is in a completely different place now than it was then.

I own like a total of 15 art prints, TWO of them are Goon prints by Powell.
