So Agents of Atlas...

Postby rdrsfn82 » Thu Jul 24, 2008 7:36 pm

is going to be a new ongoing. I'll check it out.

Also Iron Man: Director of SHIELD will be cancelled and replaced by a new War Machine ongoing by Greg Pak. :-D

I enjoyed Director of SHIELD, but a War Machine book by Pak is awesome sounding.

See more stuff over here at the Mondo Marvel panel report.

Never read Iron Man but War Machine is awesome.
Incredible Herc has been really good.

I didn't read it when it came out but the short story in the SI one shot sold me on it quite a bit. I'll give the first arc a shot for sure.

I like these announcements.

Agents of Atlas was a cool mini.

And I always thought Iron Man Director of SHIELD sucked anyway.

I'm all over that Wizard of Oz when it gets collected!

I don't like the idea of Blue Marvel. Seems like the Sentry II. Blech!

It's up there for me too.

I hope Lenard Kirk does the art, but it would mean he'd leave Captain Britain. :(

That occurred to me as well. Kirk is one of the most underrated artists working right now. It's fairly simple work but his storytelling is heads and shoulders above most of his peers, and the expressiveness in his faces, particularly Ken's, is amazing. I've read enough of Parker's work that I'm sure it will be good(Xmen:First Class is a really good book, and even his Marvel Adventures stuff is good), but I don't think it will have the same sense of wonder that existed in the mini without Kirk.

I became an instant Kirk fan with this series. I love his Namora, she has a "I'm better than you" look. :D

And yeah, Jeff Parker is awesome. I hope they give him more work on the main Marvel U.
