You'd like Nemesis if the main character wore a suit, because then it'd be a crime book

Well, I hope I like it. I'm sick of reviewing books I dislike or don't care for.

I didn't read the first two issues of this. I'll be arsed if I'm going to take any time out to look for them. Should be fun reviewing this.
EDIT: Oh, also:
JERKS!!
The witness said Mr Brown then called out to Ms Hay's adult daughter: "Look at this, I'm tittie-f***ing your mother!".

Millar hasn't produced anything I've liked since the end of the second Ultimates and he's got this awful habit of writing one big 'awesome\radical' moment after another without stringing a decent plot between them. His flashy style stopped being interesting very quickly and he never worked out how to do anything else.
Scanning through the thread, but had to say I agree with every word of this and it's been sad to see who used to be one of my favorite writers go more and more in this direction. It's not dislike so much as mourning in my case. For when he was a great comics writer before it all seemed to go to his head.

I don't know the full schedule next week, but the solicits I've seen from Marvel, DC, Image, and Vertigo don't look promising.

In other words, I'm open to suggestions.

I think that's the worst part of it. He started out with so much promise but got into lazy habits and let his work slide. The Authority was good, Swamp Thing was great and up until the Gambit issues of UXM (when he took a break) he was putting out great stuff at Marvel. Now nothing but dreck.

Star Spangled War Stories looks kind of cool, but my judgment may be impaired by the woman in fishnet stockings on the Brian Bolland cover.

That was the only thing that stood out. But I wouldn't normally pick that book up. It just seems less terrible than the rest.

I don't think there's one big list until tomorrow. I've just looked at DC, Marvel, Vertigo, and Image websites to see their solicits for next week.

Action Comics has a new Jimmy Olsen back-up, and Paul Cornell is doing great stuff with Lex Luthor.
Casanova is always awesome, and these reprints deserve more exposure.
Bryan (Mice Templar) Glass is writing a Valkyrie one-shot.
