You have some interesting, beautiful stuff there. You're also very lucky to have an attractive girlfriend who is so understanding and cooperative with your artistic activities. Congratulations. :-)

Also, I don't know if anyone saw on my facebook already, but that maternity reflection picture that was posted earlier in the thread was stolen by someone and photoshopped with Kristin Stewarts face put over that woman's and then made all sparkly and some dawn scene put in the background for some "fan art" of Breaking Dawn movie.

Not only that, but it was posted on deviant art, a forum, two fansites and some site that sells fan made posters.

Fortunately I got them all pulled down, but it was a bit irritating.

Damn... I've always liked your work, but your most recent pieces blow your earlier work out of the water. You've got an amazing sense of composition.

It's a shame you aren't closer. I have a project that's starting to come together where we're going to need stills taken and you've got the right kind of eye for it.

Love shooting the bellydance stuff, so much more interesting than almost anything else (although I do like maternity and similar portraits) But here are some pics from a couple shoots I did last week:

Some pics Cat Scratch and I were talking about in Alima's thread, but since they aren't all of Alima I am posting them here

We were talking about pictures shot with long exposure and flash still being fired at end of the exposure, this gives you a bit of movement still, but with a clear image (usually only the subject - as the flash doens't really hit the background enough) frozen into the movement.

This last one is the same woman in purple as previous pics, but shot with a normal flash; you can see the difference, much more frozen look to it than the other.

The purple one is interesting. The effect is different, but interesting in how it will differ so much from the other shots, plus just what her costume's details are. They blend in a way that adds more.

I wonder what it would look like, if both danced together in those costumes. I suspect it'd be
evocative of the old Disney Fantasia film's certain sequences. Yet, not animated in that style. Even a kaleidoscope like effect perhaps?

You've got a great eye Xaraan. :-D

A number of nice shots here. Like the one of just a dancer's hand with her cymbals.
That and you do seem to capture their joy and energy in the photos.

Interesting subject to shoot, given some of the results, as we've spoke of.

Thanks for sharing! :-D
