/Lemiredialog'd

And this is where I step in.

If Jeff Lemire was notorious for the dialogue your accusing him of (which last I checked Sweet Tooth, The Nobody and Essex County never were like this in the dialogue) than it would be a valid criticism just like with Bendis or Johns.

But he's not. it's always how the Phantom Stranger has talked. Even on that Brave and the Bold episode.

What I don't like about the concept is that it just feels like typical jump on the bandwagon Vampires are hot let's stick Vampires in an unusual setting with some other genres and make a hipster mixtape book. I could be wrong, so I will download those first two issues before I review it.

Did someone hit you in the head again?

Also Snow, what the fuck man? I gave my reason about not being able to get to the shop for a while now. I thought the review group didn't have the limit as long as you had a reason?

Why the fuck am I off the list? :?

I can see if I can find a copy of Superboy this weekend and if I post a review can you restore where I was in the line up?

Yes, I'm describing the book as a hipster mixtape, not calling the book itself a hipster. As in the book is like a mixtape created by a hipster, because it mixes together a bunch of hipster favorite genres and cliches. Nowhere did I say that the book itself is a hipster, that would be ridiculous.

So Stephen King...co creator/writer of the book for the first 5 issues is a hipster huh?

Not indefinitely. I let people slide on the 1 per month a lot (probably more than I should), but I can't let someone slide forever.

You haven't posted a review in 15 weeks.

I can see if I can find a copy of Superboy this weekend and if I post a review can you restore where I was in the line up?

15 weeks dude. If getting to pick a book is a "reward" for participation, it's not fair to anyone else.

I'll say this - despite my ire at this comic which admittedly probably comes from my hatred of dogboywoman characters, I'm finding that I kinda want to read the next issue. Tis might fill some old school goodness empiness left behind by the cancellation of Xmen Forever (which I entirely blame you for, btw).

King has written some great stuff, but I'm not impressed with his half hearted, too good for it really foray into comics.

That's the impression I have. I'm not a jerk though, I'll give it a fair try next week.

So he was writing American Vampire ironically?

And AV isn't like his Marvel stuff, where another writer is writing stories based on his novels, he actually wrote it.

Jude read X-Men: Heroes for Hope in 1985 and has hated Stephen King ever since.

He wrote the co feature for the first 5 issues and they're really strong. Seriously great book.

I really hoping the guy outside the diner whittling the lil' Parasite was a reference to the episode of Simpsons where Cletus whittles the future.

Also, when he gives it to Kon, it reminds of one of the pointless NPCs in Pokemon games.

I wish people in real life were as generous as villagers in RPGs, you'd get free stuff all the time.
