Pretty much ditto for me.

I am going to have to say REBELS for my own selfish purposes. I'm getting to Midtown at Opening on the 8th, and I plan to spend the day dissecting Fables. We're talking not just a review, but an epic feature on the book. REBELS gives me an excuse to give my 22 cents on the John Stewart Appearance.

Daredevil #512

I haven't read Daredevil since Brubaker wrapped up Bendis' plot threads but Shadowland seemed like an interesting idea so I've been toying with grabbing trades when it's all over. I probably won't be doing that now. Not because this was a bad comic, but with Bendis' definitive run on the title still warm in my longbox Daredevil writers have so much more work to do to impress than anyone else and nothing in this issue amazed me or made me want to backtrack and see what had brought about this new status quo.

The art is serviceable noirish stuff, but it fails to blow me away and two artists on a single issue is a particular pet hate of mine so there's nothing to raise this above a comic that, for me, isn't as good as it needed to be

I'm a monthly fables reader and have no problem with this pick.

Amoebas, I'd have to bow out as well with Fables. I collect it in trades as well and I don't want to ruin anything for me.

At the same time, if that's really what you want to pick then by god you should. It's your week and your choice and I know there will be plenty of people that would read and review it. :)

I pre-order so it's been months since I saw (and forgot) the price tag.

The masses have spoken - Fables is no longer the option.

I'm working on another choice.

Seeing this sudden interest why not 27?

I think we should figure out a way to play the game online in the thread.

Nah, I've settled.

Was going to take R.E.B.E.L.S. because it's a great book and everyone should be reading it - but it's a part 3 and that wouldn't work.

So I go with my 3rd option...

Charles Soule (who we've interviewed on the site) will be very happy to see that news. I was planning on taking a break from Front Page Review Sabbatical to review 27.
