Anyone ever use these pens for drawing/writing?

Postby Zenguru » Fri Jan 21, 2011 4:22 am

I'm talking about Pigma Micron pens from Sakura. My cousin turned me on to them and I think they're fantastic! They have a really clean line. They are intended for acid free paper, which is especially good for writers. I've been having trouble finding a pen that didn't bleed or smear on the pages of my Moleskin journals. For sketching and/or writing, I highly recommend these pens.

Know a good pen for calligraphy? Not a fountain pen, I hate those, but one with the ink inside. I think a wedge or chisel point would work well.

LOVE the Pigma Microns! Once I discovered them back in the day, they were the only pens I ever used for inking again.

They've been around for decades I believe.

I guess Mike Mignola solely uses those and sharpies for his work. What I heard at least.

These are what I use when I draw. Which is rare these days. :-(

I used to use them all the time before I switched to digital inking.

That sounds very painful. I would never use my digital for inking.

Yup I said the same thing before I bought my cintiq, but after that everything I ink is digital. The line is clean and when you mess up you can just erase it!
