Personally i dislike Deviantart, even though I've considered making one just for fun

I think, for a lot of decent artists, it shoves them into this corner where they honestly believe that this is the beginnning and end of art appreciation. There are so many galleries, design firms, and anything else that could really use the talents of these people, but instead they get into this system where they strive first and foremost for prominence within DA. I get it, but its not for people who really want to do something with their art.

Deviantart is a popular website where artists go to show off some of their work. It's very popular with comic illustrators, but features many other type of artists too.

It's a combination of a social networking site and an online gallery.

No.
Well, no more than any other site I guess.

There is a ton of legit art and photography on there. They have sections for selling prints of your work or other merchandise and portfolio viewers, etc.

But there is plenty of nekkid chicks to find too. Some on my site.
