5. - Thor (Simonson) - The Best Thor stories ever that aren't done by Jack Kirby.

4. - Sandman (Gaiman) - Truly deserving of it's ranking.

Eli Katz wrote:Guys, especially rdrsfn82, Bubba, and misac, you did an amazing job here. This was easily the most fun I've had reading and reacting to a top list on this board. The outrageously inflated scores of recent runs, the wild omissions of classic runs, and some of the utter crap that made it on the list -- all of it made me laugh, cry, and fume simultaneously. The best runs, at least for me, is a much more engaging subject than the best characters. So I loved the hell out of this process.

I look forward to all the upcoming lists. I hope, at some point, we do a top writers and top artists list. I think that those lists could potentially inflict as much butthurt as the top-runs list. (The possibility of Bendis taking the top writers spot could push one Mississippian out of the Outhouse Asylum and into a real asylum.)

Again, great job. And thanks!

That would be a really fun subject. I'd love to see top writers and top artists. I could see Byrne doing really well on both lists, and still being too low at the same time.

Thanks for the kind words, I know I had a lot of fun with this list.

I can't wait to see what Bubba decides to do next.

3. New X-Men (Grant Morrison) - Never read it.

2. Fantastic Four (Stan Lee/Jack Kirby) - Shoulda been #1.

1.Uncanny X-Men (Chris Claremont/Byrne) - - Top Ten, yes. Number 1, no.

I think once I get my comp up snd running and my health improves, I'll post the submission thread for the next list.

It will ve character based then non-character. I'll keep that patern I think.

Should top writer and top artist be on separate lists or should we fo top creator?

Top story will be another I do as well.

Cool.

Personally, I would prefer if they were separate. I pay a helluva lot more attention to artists than writers.

Top story will be another I do as well.

That would be cool. It's funny how many of my favorite stories of all-time are by writers I can't stand normally.

Top story will allow runs that couldn't be nominated on this list because of the mini series rule I made.

massive crossovers could be nominated, you are nominating the story not the comic so its all good.

If sone retarded retard wants to have Lightning Saga or OMD on their TopStory list, i will allow it but shun them for life afterwards

I like the idea of staggered lists between character and non-character. And I'm with Rick on this one: make top artists one list and top writers another list.

Will never have the time to read the top two runs.

Morrison's New X-Men was aight. Certainly not the third greatest run of all time. Neither was his JLA that amazing; I rate his Animal Man higher.

Invincible was DEFINITELY not top ten of all time. I read and enjoyed it but was really surprised to see the intro in the HC by Bendis talking about how much better it was to even his Ultimate Spider-Man. No way, Ultimate Spider-Man was way better and deserved to be in top 20, IMO. Invincible's nothing special and Y the Last Man is WAY better.

Preacher could actually be higher, IMO. Fucking loved it.

I think top story is easier for me to narrow down than top run was.
