I know I didn't buy that, but it's sort of familiar. Probably I read a preview only.

Punchy will give it an 8 over the weekend and Jude will give it an 11. The Great One deserves more, but peer pressure forces Outhousers to hide their affections for his works. It's admirable you have not succumbed to said pressures.

Your criticism of that scene would hold weight, if it featured any character other than Eric O'Grady Ant-Man, who is anything but 'a man with tremendous power and intelligence' and has probably not saved the world even once. Ant-Man mostly uses his powers to look at naked women, and is generally an idiot. That scene conveyed his idiocy (and Iron Fist's impatience with it) perfectly.

Check out Kirkman's 12-issue Irredeemable Ant-Man series.

He's a sleaze, but he has done noble things and he has shown great cunning at times. He's certainly not the stammering buffoon that Bendis portrays. This is a guy who helped Steve Rogers escape, has been in the Thunderbolts, and demonstrated considerable stealth during the Skrull invasion.

But, for the sake of argument, let's just say that Bendis's characterization is excellent, that doesn't save the book from the choppy, jarring dialogue and the long, wordless water scene. Filler, filler, filler.

This is a crap book. Bendis should stop writing it and concentrate instead on single-character books.

Marvel Boy was great in the runaways/Young Avengers Civil War mini. Took down most of the characters on both teams and then tries to run the prison he was in at the end.

I didn't hate the issue but I didn't love it either. In full disclosure I sadly have been out of touch with the book since issue #4, got backed up at the comic shop and haven't been able to keep up on much new material. Anyways, the interaction between some of the characters is fun. Especially Hawkeye and Mockingbird.

My main problem stems from bendis heavy use of Parker Robbins (who we haven't seen fully in character since Beyond!) and JR jr's current style for some of the characters. For the supposed top tier book at Marvel, I really don't think it's living up to what it could.

Tony's voice is correct but Noh-varr suffers and the over all plot of judging some of the illuminati members feels extremely forced. I find it weird that Strange gets a pass but Tony/Xavier do not.

All in all, it's a very average book at the moment and an average book gets a 7 from me.

This comic gets a zero because Bendis failed American geography.

I suggest that the Marvel editorial staff look up Area 51 on wikipedia next time. That's two glaring errors in this arc.

Damn, I didn't even notice he'd confused Area 51 with Roswell I was so uninterested by that point in the book.
