In terms of album art design and packaging, the best I've ever bought is POS's Never Better, which lets you customize your own cover. Even the vinyl was clear.

Ha I was just reading about that Durutti Column album, and how Joy Division actually had to glue the sandpaper sheets to the album sleeves, and that Ian Curtis did all the work while the others just watched a porn film.
