After that?
If there isn't another reboot on the way and DC plans on keeping the LSH in the future book going, I would bet that they will return to the future then.

Either way, I'm along for the ride so far which I wouldn't have been if it was a full-on reboot.

Well I'm sure they'll eventually go back to their time but I think it'd be cool if every few years they jumped forward in time. I'd like seeing them interact with different DCU futures.

Seven heroes from the 31st century have traveled back to the present day. Their mission: Save their future from total annihilation. When the future tech they brought with them fails, they find themselves trapped in a nightmarish world and an ultimate struggle to survive. LEGION LOST #1 will be written by Fabian Nicieza and illustrated by Pete Woods, fresh off an acclaimed run of Action Comics.

They could always get a few spare parts from the JLA/JSA/STAR Labs/etc.

See what I mean about the "future tech" ridiculousness? There's way too much of the stuff floating around the DCU already.

Erhm ... what's the mechanism behind that title (under user name and "offline" / "online") in the left-hand column? It's changed for me twice today. Am I not allowed to set it myself, with a mere 20 posts (credited, I think a few more were lost)?

Are some of the rest of you given that privilege to change my profile, where I am not? If you are (and I do believe it's a dubious way to do things), please keep that title at "Birdman" for me.

You can change it from your profile. Otherwise it changes according to number of posts.

No, unfortunately, I cannot. More to the point, that title was changed for me, apparently after my making a handful of posts this morning.

If I can, indeed, change it from my profile, could someone tell me exactly where to do that? I simply cannot find it.

If I can't, then, again, I'd ask that it be kept the way it is.

Only an admin can do that for you. Maybe Nieto could do that for you so you can always be "birdman".

It was made by Hawk to change with postcounts. You'll see other names there for a ranking of sorts.

As for the online/offline thing =

Go to your User Control Panel at the top of the page here while you are logged in.

Then go to Board preferences and click the obvious selection.

Try the User Control Panel. And as I say, it wasn't changed for you, the default setting is for it to change automatically with your increasing post count.

I'm on my phone right now, so am using a different interface which makes it hard to talk you through changing it if you don't manage. If you have no luck you could try sending Jude a private message. Otherwise I could take a look tomorrow.

Thank you for your help on this, and I apologize for diverting the thread. It's just that this has perplexed me ever since coming on this board:

~ I can find nothing that allows me to change this under-the-user-name title (it should have a name itself!) in the User Control Panel. I have searched the entire Panel for it, five times now. Either that control does not, in fact, exist, or it is not available to me due to my small number of posts, as is true with user titles at some other boards.

(I feel inferior enough as it is, and am still not sure I belong, given that almost everyone else here has made tens of thousands of posts.)

~ CatScratch says I can't change it myself. Nietoperz says I can, and that I should contact "Jude," but I have no idea who that is. I'd appreciate either a user name to send a PM, or your further help when you have time.

~ This title has changed twice for me today, from "Whippersnapper" to something else to "Birdman." I find it hard to believe that it would change within the space of making five posts. Or that this last is part of a hierarchy of names. It seemed likely that someone here was changing it, to something that obviously fit my avatar.

Nonetheless, if it's possible for this title to be made permanent, and impossible for me to change it myself, I'd prefer that some op or admin here freeze it as "Birdman."

~ I'd have put this whole matter in a general administration thread, but I can't find one.

Greybird: it does change that quickly! As I say though, I can look at it tomorrow, otherwise try contacting S.F. Jude Terror or BlueStreak as they should be around later.

There is also a 'Bugs & Fixes' subforum at the bottom of the main index page.

I think Jude has changed his name again. But you should put the problem in the Bugs and Fixes forum:

The title you described can be changed by yourself. It's under the control panel as I described, it used to be that we couldn't, so please note that mine doesn't change, as Lord Simian fixed it that way for me years ago when we couldn't. Jude is the ever famous Jude Terror. Nieto has said he'll fix it for you tomorrow when he can so it will stay "Birdman". Sorry to confuse you.

That title changes automatically as your post count increases until then.

I pointed out how you can change your setting in regards to the "online/offline" status. The control is within that part of the control panel labeled "profile".

Is the sub forum to go to for problems like this. Derailments are not a crime here.

Thanks again to all. Sorry about not scrolling down enough to find "Bugs & Fixes." I found a thread about user ranks and have PMed S.F. Jude Terror about a permanent reset, requesting Brother of Dawnstar — since that's who Greybird is.

Also, I enjoy seeing that handsome Birdman statue. I actually saw that cartoon when it first aired (with the Galaxy Trio! and Birdboy!) decades ago ... that dates me, eh? At that tender age you don't taste the esthetic cheese. Got my wings obsession going, in part.

Oh, and that winged guy came back later as an attorney in a suit. Boooorrrring! (But witty.)

Edit: Jude's changed it! My thanks. Now back to the relaunch {ambiguous sigh} ...
