Presumably Professor Zoom did something in the past to make Aquaman an asshole.

Wow there's this old comics artist who drew a strip in reaction to the story where Superman renounced his American citizenship over on Bleeding Cool people over there have been hating on, now he just claimed to have caused both the destruction of the World Trade Center AND Christopher Reeve's accident on the horse with drawing he'd done years before and then psychically assassinating him for not accepting the drawing years later! And sort of threatening his detractors with what may happen to them!

I've been pretty nice with you. I usually am with everyone but I can get nasty as anyone with arrogant punks who don't know how to conduct a civil and respectful conversation. You can make your case without all the insults you hurled in the last two posts. But apparently you're not so sure of yourself and need to disparage people you disagree with in order to feel good about yourself.

I'm letting it go this time and won't take you to task for it.

But I'm a little worried about you.

Bad things happen around me when people do what you do.

New York used to really piss me off back in the days.

I drew these drawings in 1978:

[PIC OF WTC]

I can't control these things.

That's why it's better not to anger me.

I drew this in 1979, more than 15 before Christopher Reeve's accident:

[PIC OF SUPERMAN NEXT TO HORSE]

Then, back in 2004 I was working with him on a film and tried to give him this drawing to help him overcome his condition. The film's producers wouldn't let me see him. They pissed me off so much that I quit the project, on my birthday, Oct 9. Christopher had a heart attack that day and died suddenly the day after.

Ask your idol who you're sucking up to what happened to him when he pissed me off above and beyond tolerance. A heart attack, weeks in the hospital and a costly litigation. All because he pushed me a little too far.

I can tell you countless stories of people around me getting hurt very badly for a lot less than what you've done here.

I can't help it.

It's not in my control.

It just happens.

That's why I'm worried about you.

The best advise I can give you is to try to be nice.

Don't anger me any more.

It's not easy to talk to someone so stupid, presumptuous, insensitive and arrogant as you are.

Do yourself a favor.

Learn to be be a little more graceful and gracious.

Learn to be a little more humble.

Learn to accept that there may be things in this world that you don't yet understand.

I can't be responsible for what happens to you if you don't change your tone.

For your own good.

Don't fuck with me anymore.

Well, they had every other crappy DC book on the shelf. Just not Aquaman.

Anyway, the non-purchase of Aquaman meant I had extra coin. So I bought the new American Vampire. That issue made me happy.

Excellent choice. You picked up a 9 instead of a potential 6.

In the Car Industry, they call that a "Trade Up."

The story was mediocre, filled with all kinds of cliches and stock characters. But me love Murphy's work so much. Me can look beyond hackneyed storylines.

STORY: 7
ART: 9.5
OVERALL: 8.25
