DCU Dog pile part deux. Marvel news! Super 8 was it super or sub-par? Plus E3 roundtable, part 1.




According to the urban dictionary a dog pile is a group of people jumping on one person and creating a tower of people while crushing the people on bottom.

Welcome to Part Deux.

Another week of announcements from D.C. Comics giving details titles and creative teams for the upcoming line wide re-launches / reboot.  Since the crew of the of H.M.S. Outhouse had so much fun last week with the first batch of announcements they were at it again leaving no title unmentioned as the biggest change in comics in over 20 years coming bearing down comic shops this September.

All this D.C. Comics news overshadowed some of Marvel Comics announcements that week too—the return of Neil Adams penciling an issue of Avengers, the 'cancelation' of Uncanny X-Men, plus how fair is the fight when it is the Avengers vs. Annihilators!

Getting the comic book talk out of their system the crew turned their attention to  just released film, Super 8, by J.J. Abrams and Stephen Spielberg.  Was the movie super or just sub-par?  Plus as another review of X-Men: First Class.

Lastly, part one of two reviewing the news that came out of Electronic Entertainment Exp (E3).  Did Nintendo Wii U?  Did Sony talk about the big elephant in the room named Security?  Did Microsoft kinect with audience members in showing off their new batch of games for the X-Box 360?
