The biggest problem with Hawkman began when they tried to tie together the Golden and Silver Age characters. They should have left them as distinctly different people, and chalk their similar names up to cosmic coincidence (and it could've been a Clark Kent-style wink at the readers acknowledging the Crisis).

Speaking of, there's another comic book property ready for its own film.

Exactly. How many characters do we need with a "stranger in a strange land" concept?

Twelve. And until DC provides me with a book featuring all of them, I will ritually slaughter a baby puppy in front of a preschool every hour.

We are getting the John Carter Mars, or whatever the title is, coming soon which would invalidate Adam Strange to a degree.

This whole thing does seem a bit risky. I am sure, however, that there will be some great new stories produced through all this.

Is that by Warner Brothers? If not, they should go the copycat route and offer a comparative property. Comedies do that kind of stuff all the time.

You're just asking for Syfy to make an Adam Strange flick.

I would absolutely go see an Adam Strange movie.
I would also go see a Hawkman movie...if he was Katar Hol.
What?
I'm not lying!
Mostly!

*Sniff, sniff* "Damn it, Diana...If I'd known they would trade us in for a JT Krul-written Captain Atom and "The Savage Hawkman," I'd have let Superboy-Prime destroy all reality.""Superman flies and is really strong...what the fuck else do you need to know?!" -- Hitler, expressing his displeasure about DC rebooting and complaints about continuity
