We can take a bit of a break if we want, I just don't want to lose momentum (and players).

Me, too. I'm not really sure what's going on. I'mma give it a little longer and if things don't pick up, I'm going to go into "story mode" to move us to the next bullet point. I'm not a fan of doing that but it seems to rejuvenate the game by giving players a new jumping on (or off) point. When or if that happens, I just need to know who's in or out.

Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

The last place we were:

Many of the Dark Water's secrets had been revealed, including Lief the captain, who was also an ancient treant who had been bended, shaped, molded and magically manipulated to grow into a fully working ship, which would have taken hard work and persistence over decades (if not centuries). At this moment we don't know why such effort was taken to create a living vessel, nor why it's being used as a pirate ship.

Faolan is still swimming alongside the boat somewhere, unaware of the death and destruction on the flotilla.

Everyone else is on the flotilla doing damage control or crapping their pants. Sabo was going to fake his death and go overboard but none of the other players volunteered to help him (or at least, BK never rolled for it). So I'm just waiting for someone to do something.

Tommas will continue to remain close and console those who lost people, but he is wary of cannon fire again. He is glad the others are back on the floatilla, however with faolan gone he isn't so sure they will stop firing. He could perhaps send a message to someone on the ship. That woman who had come to the floatilla. He casts message and sends it to her, he however doesn't know about the magic null field. Even if he did know about it he might try it. When she comes into view on the boat he will point to her as per what is needed in casting the spell.

"Madam, I implore you not to fire upon the innocent of this floatilla. I am surrendered and awaiting your will." he whispers. "You wanted the aria, not us. Your treasure is sunken but you have a chance to help those who would help you. I am not an enemy... but a man. You may have opened fire upon us for the price of individuals choices, but I implore you not to do so again for their sakes. Please."

+2 XP for good role-playing.

The message isn't received, of course, and now you and your fellow survivors have the unenviable task of figuring out your next move: do you wait and keep plotting and possibly get blown up; or do you somehow signal the pirate vessel and declare your surrender? Or a third option I haven't thought of yet. (It's possible Sabo can still hide in the water as an undercover op but it's gonna take Hella rolls.)

The NPC survivors are, as you expect, losing their heads with frantic energy and fear.

No word on whether Weasel will attempt to get you safe passage on the ship or build a slave army out of his peers.
