Chris Roberson is writing it. I've only read his I Zombie but I really liked that.

Title: Long Live Levitz's Legion!

Re: The Legion of Super-Heroes Fan Thread

> [Nacireman] [...] Levitz' stuff had been mostly underwhelming. It has moments, then just falls into a puddle of meh.

Well, that's incredibly specific. ... I haven't found your detailed take on any of this, just a lot of vague "meh" disdain for Levitz. It's hard to discuss such Jell-O.

> Yeah there are four [Legion] books. Two are minis. If they don't sell more than they've been doing, I doubt DC will just pull the plug this time.

If you have the affection for the concept that you claim you do, you'd know that the Legion has been through more publishing permutations, false starts, second chances, creative teams, and temporary homes than almost anything else at DC. Probably only being bested by the mess of the Hawkfolk. Ye gads, man, this is the seventh instance of an "LSH"-titled book.

They're not going to go beyond a mere cancellation, to utterly abandon the concept (as you seem to be suggesting), after all of this time. You're both being needlessly apocalyptic and ruling out success — with, as I say, none of us having seen one interior page of any of these four titles yet.

What's to like? Too much time spent on Earth Man and the Green Lantern Mon-El plots. No trying to smooth out what went on between LSH #63 and the debut of the neo-classic Legion. Heck, no trying to smooth out the continuity issues since the debut of the neo-classic Legion.

And as for the property's publishing future remember this: Levitz isn't running DC anymore. The person in charge (i.e. Didio's boss) is a complete outsider. That means she doesn't have any personal ties top any of the properties that Legion has.

DC might not abandon the idea of the Legion, it just might not publish any Legion books on a regular basis.

That's no longer the case. DC finally released a page from Legion Lost #1....

kind of relevant to this topic, Hickman just said in his spotlight panel that the one book he'd kill to write is Legion of Superheroes.

Is that Invisible Kid? And if so, why does he need goggles?

Awesome news; thanks!

DC Editorial needs to put Hickman on speed dial A.S.A.P. :)

You'd think by then they would developed something to replace goggles by then. Depending what the goggles are used for, of course.
