Despite the terrible art, I've enjoyed this little two-part weirdness.

I was actually really turned off by this issue. I mean, borderline pissed.

I know a lot of people didn't really like it, but I loved me some War of Kings and for the ending of that to be circumvented by Lockjaw seemed to me to be a really cheesy way of going about things.

I also thought that the decision for all of the Inhumans (except Crystal) to leave Hala after making such a big deal about them taking over the Kree was more than a little dumb. And for that matter, Medusa finding out that she's actually only one of five wives for Black Bolt and being perfectly okay with this - again, I'm calling B.S.

Overall, this little interlude really irritated me.

right when i get to thinking "OK, mabe Hickman's run really is pretty good", he turns around and does something stupid like this that turns me right back off. this 2-part "secret history of the Inhumans" retcon/interlude is crapola at its crappiest.

and how the holy fuck does Tocchini get work? ugh...

What kills me is that everything up to this little two-parter was great. And then this came along, which really doesn't do much but establish that Black Bolt is apparently the proud owner of an intergalactic harem that he didn't even know that he had.

Part of me thinks that this is largely because of Fear Itself taking Ben off of the board for its own inane purposes.

Hickman's run is getting lost in his own nerdgasm's.

Can someone offer Waid ALOT of money to come back to this book?

I hate to admit it, but I'm with you guys. These last two issues have been momentum killers.

Yes it was. I don't know anything about the War of Kings stuff, so I was bored and slightly but apathetically confused by the silent pages--I don't know where BB was supposed to be or what he was supposed to be fighting against there. The flow of traffic?

The universal inhumans suck.

Yes, it's monumental hubris to remove all the usual stars of this book and have an (average) guest artist to boot just to maintain what seems to be a fortnightly schedule through the Summer. I was tempted to drop this series at the end of Fantastic Four, right now it's on the cusp again.

For the life of me, I can't think of a decent story that will come from this. We are either going to get a story where Black Bolt claims that it is his responsibility to consummate his marriages (which will be horrible) or there will be some type of war where all but one of his wives, including Medusa, are killed (which will be equally horrible). Whatever the outcome, its going to end up changing the dynamic of Black Bolt, his relationship with his people, and Medusa. Something that wasn't necessary. The Inhumans were doing just fine on Hala with the Kree.

This sounds terrible!

Medusa and Black Bolt are one of the few truly in love comic couples left. To make Black Bolt Bill Paxton in Big Love is stupid as hell.

Also, one of them is a space-horse.

I really hated this issue. they spent so long setting up the inhumans as rules of the Kree, and for them to basically quit in an issue so that Blackbolt could go meet his wives was stupid.

I don't feel bad for not liking this issue. I get that Hickman wanted to set up Black Bolt's return, but to use a whole issue on it that had nothing to do with the FF story was a waste. Use a few pages, but not the whole issue.

Plus the art was horrible!

How did he use his voice in space? I don't know much about the Inhumans, but I'm pretty sure sound doesn't carry in space. :smt017
