Speaking of Phil, this was the most tolerable the character has been since he was Hobgoblinified. This take on him finally started to work after the overly bad dialog in the beginning with every one of his internal monologues ending in HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Nope, when the one in the tube burst out the Jackal said to the hoody one "Kaine, take him out".

Says you. I still hate the fucker and call him nothing more than a dupe. Fucking Macendale is more competent then him as a Hobby. JASON MACENDALE!!! Also there is one other being who could be in the tube.

If Kaine is the hooded Mega Spider thing and not the White one. What if it's Carrion another left over Jackal project?

But didn't Kaine get bit by a white Spider? So technically couldn't that mean he be white and not hooded? Plus hoods were more Ben's thing. Kaine needs a tattered cape or web things around his body. :P

Unless the white guy is spidercide and we're being set up for Kaine being made human again to take up the Scarlet Spider hoody.

On the other hand.. still not a fan of the Jackal or the fact that this has a lot of the pieces of the Clone Saga going for it. I'm glad he isn't the big bad in this, and curious to who the true bad is. Whomever this mystery woman is hopefully she isn't the Queen from Jenkins woeful arc from way back. I'm hoping it's Ms. Arrow aka the Other. That would explain her control over the big man spiders. Slott did dial Warren down a lot, but he's still the Jackal. I'm curious who the pair tested on given we know who Jackal's big Spider bodyguard is. Is it Spidercide or is it Ben? Really my only real complaint is the tacked on, "Hey kids it's Phil Urich and Norah Winters." But I guess they needed an intro since everyone else was in this issue.

Read it, not great, not bad. Boring mostly. Excellent art work though. I'll review it soon.
