I wonder how many other titles have been 44% reviewed by the Review Group?

I think I read half a one-shot and reviewed it once. :smt102

SHIELD has deserved and gotten a lower score each time from the RG, I'm not spending any more money on or wasting the 45 seconds it takes reading another issue of that vacant garbage.

Infinite #1 by Kirkman/Liefeld would be a lutzier pick.

Probably a better-written comic book too.

Back to this week's pick: Man, Gravity, Firestar, and Spider-Chick are fucking useless! I thought the entire point of the Initiative training program was to graduate superheroes who weren't fuck-ups who put the public in danger through their own ineptitude?

Also, I'm pretty sure Hydro-man has manifested his body as ice before and still maintained control over it. Hasn't he?

Spider-Island is an event I was planning on checking out in trade, but since this is the Review Group I picked up the prelude.

There was a lot happening in this issue. Slott conveniently writes out Aunt May and most of FF to better manage the event. He also catches readers up on Peter's current status quo which will make it easier for readers to jump right into 'Spider-Island'. Brief cameos of Jonah, Horizon Labs, Phil and Norah, Venom, Betty, Madame Web, Shang-Chi, the Avengers, Mary Jane, and Carlie set the stage for upcoming events that may involve said characters. Getting some setup with the event's villains works too.

The art was great! Stefano Caselli's style is a good match to go along with Humerto Ramos' (the artist for Spider-Island). His detail, storytelling, and facial expressions are top-notch.

GRADE: 8.5/10

This comic was alright but it went on far too long. The art was very nice. I don't mind saying this is the best Spiderman Comic I've read since before Sins Past. That being said it wasn't just long in page count but plot threads that didn't need to be so expanded.

6.

also next weeks book?
