Streaming Netflix Is A Disappointment

Just an FYI I guess for anyone considering using it...

I tried out streaming Netflix for my PS3 and found that almost none of the big name movies for like the last 5 years seem to be available. How completely lame.

I have a streaming queue of about 20 movies and TV series. I like it so far.

Netflix keeps most of the big movies unavailable to stream. Streaming is generally better for older films or television shows.

I have Netflix through Roku, and there are plenty of recent movies like Iron Man 2. The benefit (for me, anyway) are the collected television series/seasons like Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Spectacular Spider-Man, Sons of Anarchy, etc.

I do wish Netflix would sort instant movies by release date--that might make the newer movies more noticeable instead of by genre.

I'm interested in Amazon Prime's selection. Does anyone here use that?

Studios are probably cutting better deals with the on demand cable/satellite providers and getting more per viewing so they hold stuff from netflix.

Lulz, expand please. Does it offer more TV? Is the selection like half?

I like the quick shipping bonus, plus I could watch Amazon Prime on my Roku.
I'm tempted to add that and Hulu Plus and kick cable TV to the curb.

As for live sporting events like the Super Bowl or NCAA tourney, I have friends with bigger houses that typically host stuff (I've got it all planned!)
