The Gathering Anthology

Postby GatheringComic » Thu Aug 04, 2011 3:02 pm

Hi Everyone,

I know that Outhousers did some mentions of our book in the past when our first two issues were released and I really appreciated the support...so much so that I wanted to come back and be a member here.

A LOT has changed with our book in the past year. We've nipped that missed deadline thing in the bud, are going to print on issue 4 (Horror) now and plan to have 5 (Romance) and 6 (Horror 2) ready in time for NYCC in October where we'll have our own booth.

The Gathering is a self published soon to be monthly anthology with each issue focusing on a different theme. We try to focus on giving new writers and artists a chance to have their work published for the first time while also having some pros like Gail Simone, Mike Lapinski, Sterling Gates and more contribute to help bring attention to the book.

We're always on the look for new talent, especially artists and may likely open up submissions on some of the new volumes we added because of a successful Kickstart campaign

You can visit our website at www.grayhavencomics.com to find out more information about our comics and webcomics and publishing plans.

I'll also be trying to visit this thread daily to answer questions, hype new projects etc

And even though we smashed our Kickstart goal thanks to some very awesome rewards there are still 12 days to go, some great rewards still available and would love if you could take a look, pledge or pass the link around

And the book has featured, of course, the biggest star of all, The Outhouse's own Arion. :P

Arion is a beast. Not only is he extremely talented but quick and reliable. He's filled in and saved many writers from having their stories get pushed back

I'm no Arion (and who is?) but I do have stories in Issues 4 and 5.

Here's a look to the 'yet unfinished' cover to Volume 5 (Romance)

If that didn't work it's on the website now, lol

I'd love to have you come on the Outhouse Pirate Podcast one day if you are interested.

I'm also in the process of woo-ing Arion for a future volume. I think I'm one dinner away from sealing the deal.

Anyway. Support the Gathering. It's good stuff. Lots of talent and fresh voices.

And submissions for some volumes are now open. Read the submission section at www.grayhavencomics.com

And please read the directions carefully, lol
